The faculty of Sport Management program will evaluate applicants on each of the following:
(A completed online application through the College of Graduate Studies must be completed prior to review.)

1. Provide a writing sample in the form of a Personal Statement. Include an in-depth explanation of why you are pursuing this degree, why you are a good candidate for admission, your career goals over the next five years, and what has prepared you to succeed in Georgia Southern’s Sport Management graduate program. You are not required to address each of these topics, but a combination is preferable. The Personal Statement should be no more than two double-spaced pages.
2. Provide transcripts showing additional degrees completed in a college or university accredited by the proper regional accrediting association are required. The committee will review previous coursework that relates to the curriculum in the Master’s in Sport Management program.  If the applicant holds additional degrees from accredited institutions, those transcripts must be submitted as well.
3. The minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.5 is required to be considered.  Obtaining a GPA of 3.0 on a master’s degree or at least 12 graduate credits may be assessed on the basis of master’s-level degree work.
4. Resume will be used to review the quality of work experience and length of related professional experiences/internships.
5. Official GRE or GMAT scores less than 5 years old are required.

The Graduate Admissions Person or Committee will judge the merit of each item and make a recommendation based on the sum total of the application.

*Achievement of the minimum admission requirements of the College of Graduate Studies and requirements of the graduate program does not guarantee admission to that graduate degree program.
