Faculty Serves as Guest Speaker at Asian Symposium

In April, Professor Li Li, Ph.D. in the Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology, presented research at the Asian Symposium on Motor Control in Biomechanics held at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan. Li serves as a member of the International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) and was invited to present his research, “Postural Control and Functional Mobility among People with Peripheral Neuropathy,” as the Asian representative of the ISB executive committee at the symposium.

The one-day event, which was sponsored by the De Luca Foundation, was composed of speakers from Japan and the United States, who are considered well-established in the fields of motor control and biomechanics.

The Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology is housed in the Waters College of Health Professions and offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the areas of health sciences, nutrition and food science, sport management, athletic training, exercise science, health administration, coaching, physical education, sport and exercise psychology, dietetics, gerontology, and sports medicine.
