WCHP Announces Annual Award Winners
Annually, the Waters College of Health Professions (WCHP) recognizes faculty and staff for their contributions to Georgia Southern University, the College and the community. On August 6, 2018, Dean Barry Joyner, Ph.D., presented awards to six faculty and two staff members during the College’s convocation. Awards are based on nominations and recommendations of both faculty and staff. The following individuals were recognized:
- Diana Sturges, M.D., professor in the Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology, was awarded the WCHP Award for Excellence in Teaching for the Statesboro Campus
- Andi Beth Mincer, PT, Ed.D, associate professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, was awarded the WCHP Award for Excellence in Teaching for the Armstrong Campus
- Marian Tabi, Ph.D., MPH, RN, professor in the School of Nursing, was awarded the WCHP Award for Excellence in Scholarship for the Statesboro Campus
- Bryan Riemann, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology, was awarded the WCHP Award for Excellence in Scholarship for the Armstrong Campus
- Charles “Hal” Wlson, Jr., Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology, was awarded the WCHP Award for Excellence in Service for the Statesboro Campus
- Janet Buelow, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology, was awarded the WCHP Award for Excellence in Service for the Armstrong Campus
- Kelli Howard was awarded the WCHP Staff Service and Merit Award for the Statesboro Campus
- Katina Starks was awarded the WCHP Staff Service and Merit Award for the Armstrong Campus
