Lee Publishes Book Chapter
Associate Professor and Program Director of Nuclear Medicine Rochelle Lee, Ed.D., recently published the book chapter “Survival Strategies for African American Women Currently Employed, Newly Employed, or Contemplating Employment at a PWI” in the book Thriving as a Woman in Leadership in Higher Education. Scheduled to be released this April, in the chapter Lee shares some of the lessons she has learned teaching at a predominately white institution (PWI) for 17 years.
“The chapter includes 10 strategies that I named the 10 commandments that offer suggestions and strategies for how to navigate the academic environment as a faculty member,” stated Lee. “Although written from the perspective of an African American woman to other African American women, I believe all women faculty can benefit from the chapter’s suggested strategies.”
