Sock Drive
Faculty and staff in Georgia Southern University’s Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Sciences (DDTS) are hosting a sock drive to collect new socks for the homeless population in Chatham County, Georgia. Leading the effort is Shaunell McGee, M.H.A., instructor, and Katina Starks, M.Ed., administrative assistant.
“I have done a similar drive with students in the Radiologic Sciences program for service learning to help the students meet the program’s community service requirement,” stated McGee. “Those I have served in the past have asked for us to continue delivering socks as winter will be here before we know it.”
The department plans to continue the sock drive until needs are met.
Drop-off Location
Ashmore Hall Room 106
The sock drive will be on-going.
