Radiologic Sciences Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program
For those who already hold a bachelor’s degree, Georgia Southern University’s Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Sciences offers a certificate to enhance your healthcare education and experience.
The post-baccalaureate certificate program include both didactic classwork and a clinical education component, which must be completed at an accredited healthcare organization. All clinical education courses can be conducted at sites close to where the students live, however, students who are outside of Savannah will be responsible for identifying potential clinical education sites in their area.

Advanced Imaging
Format: Online
The Advanced Imaging certificate emphasizes a deeper study and practice with the imaging modalities used in radiologic sciences. You can customize your coursework to focus on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computerized tomography (CT), mammography or cardiovascular interventional radiology.
Students interested in an undergraduate degree leading to initial certification may be interested in a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Sciences with a concentration in radiography or sonography.
Program Outcomes
Graduates of the certificate program will:
- Demonstrate a functional knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the technologies in their specialty.
Graduate Outcomes
Upon graduation, graduates will have completed the didactic and clinical requirements to sit for the national certification boards in CT, MRI or mammography.
