Radiography Degree Concentration

With the Radiography degree concentration, you’ll get hands-on clinical experience and build on a foundation of physics, math and science to prepare for a high-tech career that uses radiation, magnetism and computers for imaging and medical diagnosis. You’ll also have the opportunity to pursue additional certifications in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), and mammography.
As a radiographer, you’ll aid physicians and radiologists in the diagnosis of fractures, ulcers, tumors, lesions and disease processes. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for the physical and mental well-being of patients undergoing radiographic examinations.

The Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Sciences anticipates that graduates of this program will seek the following professional state licenses or national certifications: Registered Radiographer, R.T. (R). and state licensure.
The Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Sciences has determined that the required classes and educational activities of this academic program will qualify a graduate of this program to take the exam to obtain Registered Radiography, RT(R) credentials.
