Medical Laboratory Science-Traditional Track

A goal of Georgia Southern University’s Medical Laboratory Science program is to prepare competent clinical laboratory practitioners. Therefore, academic policies and procedures are established to assure that program graduates have the competencies to be able to successfully pass professional certification examination(s) and qualify for knowledge and employment.

The traditional track is for entering freshmen and transfer students. Students with a BS degree in biology, chemistry or related science fields are eligible for this track as well.

Professional License Disclosure

The Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Sciences anticipates that graduates of this program will seek the following professional state licenses or certifications: Medical Laboratory Scientist.
