Student Liability Insurance Coverage

Waters College of Health Professions majors who participate in for credit off-campus activities such as clinical internship, practica and independent studies that require off-campus activity at a contracted facility are required to purchase liability insurance coverage.

MOU Information

This list includes all sites for which GS Waters College of Health Professions currently has an active, fully executed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in place to facilitate student internships and clinical rotations. The list is intended to be used by students as a resource to identify a potential site of interest for their internship hours. For example, a student from Atlanta may wish to locate a site within the Atlanta area. After reviewing the list, students should discuss the options with their program coordinator for planning purposes. Students should NOT contact a site directly.

The Georgia Southern Respiratory Therapy program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), program # 200277.

Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care Program Outcome Data 

CoARC accredits respiratory therapy education programs in the United States. To achieve this end, it utilizes an ‘outcome based’ process. Programmatic outcomes are performance indicators that reflect the extent to which the educational goals of the program are achieved and by which program effectiveness is documented.

National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association

The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is the only national student organization for pre-professionals studying communication sciences and disorders (CSD) recognized by the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). We inspire, empower, and support students in the field of CSD. We give you the tools to navigate your academic career while preparing you for your professional one.
Membership Criteria: 2.5 GPA and annual membership dues

Student Academy of Audiology

The mission of the Student Academy of Audiology at Armstrong is to serve as a collective voice for students within the chapter area and to advance the rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing careers in audiology. Chapters will engage students in lifelong professional activities that promote and advance the profession of audiology, and provide services, information, education, representation and advocacy for the profession and the public we serve.
Membership Criteria: 2.5 GPA and annual membership dues
Meetings: General Body Meeting meets once a month and the Executive Board Meeting is once a month.
