Physical Education

The Physical Education program emphasizes current pedagogical thinking, research and teacher effectiveness in physical education to produce instructors who can integrate research and theory into teaching practice. The program is designed for those students who currently have a clear renewable teaching certificate in Health and Physical Education.

The Post-Professional Athletic Training program provides the knowledge and skills in clinical practice, instruction and research.

Dietetic Internship

Location: Statesboro Campus

The Dietetic Internship (DI) program is a full-time, 12-month, post-baccalaureate graduate certificate, non-degree dietetic internship program, with concentrations in community nutrition and school nutrition.

Sport & Exercise Psychology

Location: Statesboro Campus

The Sport & Exercise Psychology program integrates science and application in mental skills training and life skills development. Designed for students interested in applied work and/or research in the sport and exercise psychology discipline, the degree is grounded in the fundamentals of the scientific process and theory for research and supervised applied work within individual and group/team environments.

Coaching Education

The Coaching Education program is a 14-month program taught by full-time Georgia Southern University faculty with coaching experience and offers fully online courses in performance enhancement, coaching administration, athletic training and coaching effectiveness

Health Administration

The Health Administration program prepares a highly qualified, diverse group of early-to-mid careerist students for increasingly responsible leadership roles in the administration of health services delivery across the continuum of the health services industry.

Sports Medicine

Location: Armstrong Campus

The Sports Medicine program offers classes with knowledgeable and experienced professors and provides students with practical experiences and research in two main focus areas: strength and conditions and human movement science.

Post-BSN-DNP with MSN “Opt Out” Option

Location: Online

POST-BSN-DNP with MSN “Opt Out” option provides students with the option to exit the MSN degree after completion of specialty courses. The program offers four clinical tracks: family nurse practitioner, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner and adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner.

Post MSN-DNP

Location: Online

The Post MSN-DNP degree prepares advanced practice nurses to provide the highest level of nursing care to individuals and communities. Students must have their Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license and certification for this program. Examples of the four (4) APRN roles identified by the Consensus Model are: Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).

Chronic Care Management

The Chronic Care Management program prepares registered nurses at the graduate level in Chronic Care Management. Recognizing that care management and evaluation of outcome measures are integral components of healthcare success.

Nursing Education

Location: Online

The Nursing Education program is designed to prepare individuals for a nurse educator role including knowledge of curriculum design and development, teaching methodologies, educational needs assessment, and learner-centered theories and methods. Students gain an advanced understanding of the nursing discipline, nursing practice, and the added pedagogical skills.

Communication Sciences & Disorders

Location: Armstrong Campus

The Communication Sciences and Disorders program provides students with the knowledge and skills to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults.

Physical Therapy

Location: Armstrong Campus

The Physical Therapy program consists of nine semesters of academic coursework, including three full-time clinical affiliations (with a minimum of 31 weeks of full-time clinical practice) and several additional clinical experiences. Upon completion of the program, all students are awarded a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.

The Strength and Conditioning Certificate program provides a base of knowledge that enables you to enter the profession or enhance your skills in the field. 

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Location: Online

The Post-Master of Science in Nursing (post-MSN) Certificates offer the opportunity to augment the MSN degree previously earned with an additional nursing specialty area.

Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Location: Online

The Post-Master of Science in Nursing (post-MSN) Certificates offer the opportunity to augment the MSN degree previously earned with an additional nursing specialty area.

Family Nurse Practitioner

Location: Online

The Post-Master of Science in Nursing (post-MSN) Certificates offer the opportunity to augment the MSN degree previously earned with an additional nursing specialty area.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
