Sport Management Ranked One of the Best Degree Programs
Georgia Southern University’s online master’s degree in sport management was recently ranked one of The 25 Best Online Master’s in Sport Management Degree Programs by the website TheBestSchools.org. According to Best Schools, the ranking was based on the quality of the program, range of courses the program provides, as well as the program’s awards, rankings and reputation.
“It is an honor to be recognized along with the nation’s top sport management programs including Georgetown University, Texas A&M University, and Washington State University,” said Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Sport Management Christina Gipson, Ph.D.
The 36-credit, online program, housed in the Waters College of Health Professions, was designed to provide academic preparation and practical experience in the skills and techniques necessary to be successful in the sport business and leisure field. Students are able to complete the program in 24 months, or as their schedule permits. “Understanding our student base allows us to provide students with an academic experience that fits their needs. This ranking, along with others, recognizes our faculty’s dedication and commitment to providing our students with a student-focused program that contributes to a valuable and meaningful education. Our faculty continually set higher goals for the program and this honor pushes us to achieve more.”
