Annual Experimental Biology Conference

Students studying in the Department of Heath Sciences and Kinesiology recently traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to attend the the Annual Experimental Biology Conference. Under the guidance of an interdisciplinary team to include Georgia Southern University faculty members Greg Grosicki, Ph.D., Andrew Flatt, Ph.D., and Amy Chall, MS, and undergraduate medical laboratory science student Anna Bryan, the following students presented their research:    

  • Joseph Vondrasek, graduate sports medicine student, presented “Nighttime blood pressure dipping is attenuated in young and apparently healthy black adults compared to white adults.”
  • Zoe Lincoln, health performance/fitness management undergraduate student, presented “Free day, but not work day, sleep duration is inversely associated with aortic stiffness in apparently healthy young adults.”
  • Wesley Blumenburg, graduate sports medicine student, presented “Perceived pain is associated with cardiovascular responsiveness during metaboreflex activation in apparently healthy young males and females.”
