Alan Skipper Named One of Bulloch County’s Top 20 under 40 for 2016
School of Nursing Instructor, Alan Skipper, was recently recognized by the Statesboro Herald as one of Bulloch County’s Top 20 under 40 for 2016. To be honored in the 20 under 40 class, individuals had to have an impact not only in their profession but in the community as well. Along with teaching at Georgia Southern University, Mr. Skipper works as a family nurse practitioner
at the Hearts and Hands Clinic, is co-owner of both the Southern Manor and Lakeview Manor, and is in the process of finishing his doctorate of nursing practice degree. Mr. Skipper is active in the Alzheimers’ Association, Relay for Life and Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, a national nursing society which only admits the top five percent of nurses. At Georgia Southern, Mr. Skipper also serves as the vice president for the Mu Kappa chapter.
