Peer Fitness Training Seminar: It’s Time to Move-November 6, 2021
Do you want to increase the overall health and wellness of your department?
Georgia Southern University faculty and staff carefully designed a rigorous course to develop transferable skills. Speakers guided first responders in training approaches backed by research to improve their department’s training. The seminar used a hands-on approach to cover a variety of wellness topics to include the following:
- Utilizing performance assessments
- Keys to reducing injury risks
- Correcting “The Big 6”
- Modifying training variables
- Training recruits
- Addressing low-back pain
- Making the most out of group sessions
- Networking with professionals in your area
